About Peak Drift Peak Drift is a fast-growing beverage company committed to producing high-quality products through innovation, consistency, and rigorous quality control. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Tech Lead to oversee our laboratory operations and help maintain the highest standards in beverage quality and safety. Position Summary The Lab Tech Lead will be responsible for managing daily laboratory testing, quality assurance programs, and product verification processes. This role requires hands-on laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of beverage production and quality systems. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform microbiological plating and microbial analysis.
  • Conduct PCR testing and interpret results.
  • Perform seam integrity inspections and can quality evaluations.
  • Conduct package quality checks and production line verification.
  • Perform ABV testing and product adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain laboratory records, testing logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor product quality throughout production and packaging.
  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards and food safety programs.
  • Train and mentor laboratory technicians as the team grows.
  • Collaborate with production and brewing teams to troubleshoot quality issues.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment calibration and cleanliness. QualificationsRequired
  • Previous laboratory experience in a manufacturing or beverage environment.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and quality control practices.
  • Experience with microbiological plating, PCR testing, seam checks, can inspections, and analytical testing.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Chemistry major strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in the beverage industry, including beer, RTD beverages, cannabis beverages, soft drinks, or related products.
  • Experience with ABV analysis and beverage quality systems. Benefits & Perks

Pay:
$22.73 - $27.38 per hour
