Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform specific laboratory tests following established quality control and infection control procedures. Schedule routine laboratory tests as required. Process and schedule laboratory tests ordered by medical staff. Locate, handle, and process specimens in accordance with quality control and infection control standards. Perform electronic recordkeeping tasks accurately and timely. File laboratory and related records in an organized and accurate manner. Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and documentation of all specimens. Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff regarding laboratory needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure resident safety at all times while performing all job duties. Transport laboratory specimens to the hospital or designated laboratory facility when needed. Transport of lab specimens to the hospital when needed.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must hold a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certificate Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and communication). Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently. Must maintain an excellent attendance record. Valid driver's license Must have access to a personal vehicle for job-related travel.
