Lab Technician-RMA- Nights Baytown, TX Job Details Full-time 9 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Lift truck High school diploma or GED Task prioritization Manufacturing Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Purpose Monitor and maintain quality of all products produced at RMA Baytown in accordance with Quality, Laboratory, Environmental and Safety systems while providing excellent support to production. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks 1. General Policy a. Mold & test plastic specimens. b. Provide production process support when required; Confidence to shut down an extruder when a quality concern makes it necessary. c. Support manufacturing by assisting with re-work, formulation, SPC reaction plan adjustments and SOC changes as necessary to produce product within specification. d. Prepare data for lot certifications and enter SPC data from off-line testing. e. Prepare customer samples as requested for external testing and customer shipment. f. Perform in-process color sample preparation, measurement, and pigment adjustments where necessary. g. Maintain/improve laboratory cleanliness & organization. h. Laboratory equipment PM's and verifications. i. Support receiving staff with raw material inspection, testing and approval. j. Train, coach, assist and verify manufacturing personnel to be able to properly perform in-process product inspections. k. Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures. l. Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards. m. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manger. Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience /
Certifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent - required. Bachelor's degree in a related laboratory field- preferred
Experience:
2 years of lab experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic experience preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel. Ability to manage time, organize, and set priorities. Forklift license required. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. 2. Must be comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment. 3.
