Job Description

Well Health Labs is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join our growing clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating chemistry analyzers, performing quality control (QC), troubleshooting instrumentation, and maintaining accurate and timely laboratory results. This is not a phlebotomy position. This position requires strong knowledge of laboratory operations, analyzer maintenance, specimen integrity, and compliance with laboratory standards and procedures. Responsibilities Operate and maintain chemistry analyzers including: Beckman Coulter AU480 Beckman Access 2 Perform daily, weekly, and monthly quality control (QC) procedures Calibrate laboratory instruments and ensure proper analyzer performance Review QC data and troubleshoot out-of-range results Process and analyze patient specimens accurately and efficiently Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment Ensure all testing is completed within turnaround time requirements Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records Follow CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory compliance standards Identify specimen issues including hemolysis, clotting, insufficient quantity, or contamination Communicate with laboratory staff and management regarding instrument or testing issues Assist with inventory management and reagent monitoring Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field preferred MLT (ASCP) or MT/MLS certification preferred Minimum 1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred Experience operating Beckman AU480 and Access 2 analyzers strongly preferred Strong understanding of: Quality Control (QC) Calibration procedures Analyzer maintenance Specimen processing Laboratory workflow Ability to multitask in a fast-paced laboratory environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of laboratory safety and compliance standards
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
