Full-Time | Onsite Overview We are seeking a motivated Quality or Manufacturing professional with at least two years of industry experience who is eager to grow into a leadership role within a specialized metrology laboratory in the North Fort Worth area. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the owner of the lab, learning the technical, operational, and business aspects of a precision measurement and calibration operation. This position is designed as a long-term succession and development opportunity. The individual hired will act as an understudy to the owner, gaining hands-on exposure to quality systems, measurement science, client relationships, and lab operations. As your knowledge and responsibilities grow, your compensation and role will grow as well. Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily operations of a precision metrology and calibration laboratory
- Support measurement, inspection, and calibration activities for customer components and equipment
- Learn and apply quality standards, documentation, and lab procedures
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and calibration documentation
- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and verification
- Support internal quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work directly with the owner to understand operational workflows, customer service, and business management
- Gradually take on increased responsibility in lab operations and client support as skills develop Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, or metrology
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and inspection methods (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Desire to learn the business side of a technical operation and grow into greater responsibility
- Ability to work onsite in the DFW area Preferred (Not Required)
- Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001 or
ISO/IEC 17025
- Experience in a machine shop, manufacturing facility, or calibration lab
- Familiarity with GD&T or inspection reports What Makes This Opportunity Unique
