Work Schedule :
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (CST) Job Summary We are seeking a Lab Technician II to support laboratory operations by performing routine analytical testing on hydrocarbon- and water-based samples. This role contributes to research, development, quality control, and sales support initiatives. The position involves hands-on work with laboratory instruments, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results. Key Responsibilities Perform routine analytical testing on various sample types to support R D and quality objectives Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment Execute analytical methods and experiments following approved procedures and safety guidelines Accurately record, analyze, and interpret laboratory data ensuring compliance and traceability Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and data summaries for technical review Communicate test results effectively to scientists, engineers, and internal stakeholders Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards Required Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail with accurate data recording and documentation Ability to work independently and collaborate with subject matter experts Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience using LIMS or similar laboratory systems Preferred Skills Familiarity with ASTM testing methods Experience working with analytical laboratory instruments Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and identify testing anomalies Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred OR equivalent combination of education and 5-7 years of hands-on laboratory experience 2-4 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred Work Environment & Requirements Onsite laboratory setting Business casual attire; closed-toe shoes required PPE and lab coats provided Steel-toe shoes required when working on the production floor Additional Information Opportunity for full-time conversion after 12 months Collaborative work environment with interaction across multiple teams Initial training includes safety protocols and hands-on guidance with subject matter experts Applicant Notices & Disclaimers For information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here At SPECTRAFORCE, we are committed to maintaining a workplace that ensures fair compensation and wage transparency in adherence with all applicable state and local laws.
