• Job Summary and Qualifications
• Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records.

Pharmacy technicians work only under supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. The services must be that of the highest quality, cost effective and delivered in an efficient and professional manner.

• What you will do in this role:
• + Procures and distributes drug orders per physician request, pharmacist request or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols, and within specified time frame.

+ Fill medication orders for checking by a pharmacist and tubes/delivers to nursing unit after R.Ph. Checking. + Generates reports, pick lists and labels as required. + Processes discharges and transfers (i.e. Cart fill, pickup and credit discharge meds + Processes IV's, Chemo's, and TPN's + Reconciles IV's, Chemo's, and TPN's + Restocks work area + Prepare Pyxis refills for RPh checking, then delivers meds to floor after R.Ph. checking + Repackaging of non-unit dose medications + Prepackages medications in unit of use containers + Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, floor stock, OR carts, medication surgical kits, or medication requisitions and specialty items/bins accurately, and delivers to medication areas. + Delivers medication and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately. + Check assigned areas for expiration date Maintains a neat and clean work area

• What qualifications you will need:
• + (MLT) Medical Laboratory Technician, or (MLT-State) Medical Lab Technician - State must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date + No Travel Required + Required Years of Experience
