Job Description

Responsibilities Data entry and high-volume specimen processing Presort, A-station processing, and specimen preparation Pickup and delivery of processed specimens to laboratory areas Centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging, and microfilming Ensuring accurate identification and handling of a wide variety of specimen types Maintaining compliance with test ordering requirements and regulatory guidelines • High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment • Work performed in a biohazard laboratory environment with strict adherence to safety protocols Gain hands-on experience in a dynamic laboratory environment
Education:
HS diploma or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
Basic understanding of computers with a preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or laboratory specimen processing.
Work Experience:
No experience required but previous laboratory experience required. Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory. Previous hospital laboratory experience is a plus but not required. Previous experience in a production environment preferred.
Pay:
Up to $17.70 per hour
