We are searching for a Lab Technician for our Odessa Texas location. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years oilfield laboratory experience or equivalent. This role requires attention to prioritizing incoming assignments and tracking workflow from initial request to final report. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cement blend and additive testing to verify requested design parameters
- Perform cement QC testing to verify quality control parameters
- Ability to perform advanced level cement testing and cement design
- Water analysis
- Assists lab supervisor and other lab technicians
- Prepare, operate, maintain and calibrate equipment used in the laboratory
- Prepares documentation and reporting of laboratory data
- Cleaning of lab equipment and test preparation
- Help maintain appearance of the lab
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Detailed oriented and strong workflow skills
- Good multi-tasking skills
- Must be able to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays including an on-call schedule
- Ability to work as part of a team Capacity to field calls and create solutions
