$22-25 / hour Job Description Sirius Staffing is seeking a QC Associate Scientist for a 6-month contract role in Round Rock, TX. Please contact Sirius today for more information. The QC Associate Scientist will support our Quality Control team in daily laboratory operations. This is a hands-on, lab-based role focused on sample preparation, organization, and assisting scientists with a backlog of ongoing projects. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in chemistry or a related scientific field who are looking to gain valuable laboratory experience.Schedule:
10a-7pmRate:
22-25hr.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare samples for analytical testing following established procedures and protocols Handle, label, and track samples throughout the preparation process Perform sample weighing, dilutions, extractions, and other preparation techniques Maintain sample integrity and chain of custody documentation Support lab organization and maintain a clean workspace Clean and maintain laboratory glassware Order and receive laboratory chemicals and standards Assist QC Scientists with day-to-day operations and project support Conduct product testing, including analytical methods and secondary analysis Collaborate with scientists to complete testing and meet project timelines Manage assigned tasks efficiently to support development schedules Participate in training and assist with technical transfer activities Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper PPE usageDocumentation Responsibilities:
Complete analytical forms and batch records related to projects Maintain accurate lab notebooks, logbooks, and documentationQualifications:
High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science preferred Prior laboratory experience is a plus Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety data sheets (SDS) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented lab environment Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
