In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing precise laboratory procedures, assisting with dental and medical imaging, and maintaining accurate medical records. Your expertise will support diagnostic processes, ensure compliance with infection control standards, and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Conduct dental fabrication tasks, including creating dental prosthetics and appliances using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and laboratory equipment. Assist dentists chairside during procedures by preparing materials, handling dental instruments, and ensuring patient comfort through effective chairside assisting. Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical histories while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Perform medical imaging procedures such as X-rays or other diagnostic tests with strict adherence to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Measure and record vital signs, utilize micrometers for precise measurements, and assess patient conditions during examinations. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing equipment, managing medical supplies, and following proper sterilization procedures. Support laboratory functions by preparing specimens, conducting tests using specialized equipment like microscopes or CAD tools, and documenting results accurately in medical records. Qualifications Proven experience in dental assisting or medical laboratory settings with a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical documentation practices. Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for managing patient records efficiently. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of all medical information. Skilled in dental fabrication techniques, including the use of CAD software and laboratory equipment. Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within healthcare environments. Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards. Strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and patient evaluation methods.
