Job Title:
Laboratory Technician Job Description As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of samples. You will be responsible for relabeling samples, receiving boxes, sorting samples, operating assigned equipment, disposing of biohazard materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and supporting workflow throughput and turnaround times. Responsibilities Relabel samples accurately and efficiently. Receive and process incoming boxes. Sort samples for testing. Dispose of biohazard materials safely. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support workflow throughput and turnaround times. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry. Strong communication skills. Familiarity with basic lab practices,. Work Environment The position is located in a medical Laboratory. It is a contract role with the potential for extension or direct hire. The laboratory operates on a schedule of Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Tuesday to Saturday with shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The work environment is a sterile and clean medical lab with a focus on biology-based backgrounds. The dress code requires solid colored scrubs and closed-toed shoes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
