$34 per hour Position Summary We are seeking Laboratory Technician II to support laboratory operations within a Research and Technology environment. This role involves performing both routine and non-routine laboratory analyses to support quality assurance and quality control activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a safety-focused mindset, and experience working in laboratory or industrial settings, preferably within the oil and gas or related industries. Key Responsibilities Support laboratory supervisors and chemists by performing routine and non-routine laboratory testing, including wet chemistry analysis Prepare, handle, and test product and in-process samples in accordance with standard operating procedures Perform calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and test equipment Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and standards for analytical testing Ensure accurate data collection, documentation, and sample tracking Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance and quality control issues Manage sample inventory, including receipt, preparation, storage, shipping, and disposal Support chemical movement, shipping, and receiving activities Maintain laboratory cleanliness and adhere to all safety, health, and environmental requirements Work with moderate supervision while contributing technical knowledge and expertise Participate in onsite screenings and required safety programs, including respirator certification Required Qualifications Associate degree or technical diploma (Polytechnic) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Technical Engineering, or a related field Minimum 3-5 years of relevant laboratory or quality control experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and laboratory inventory or tracking systems (e.g., SAP or similar) Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Safety-minded approach with experience following laboratory safety procedures Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives Preferred Qualifications Experience in the oil and gas, energy, or petrochemical industry Familiarity with quality control systems and laboratory best practices Forklift certification Experience handling chemical samples, fluids, or materials in an industrial laboratory environment With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
