Job Description

Observe all safety rules, understand the importance of 100% safety compliance and maintaining an injury-free workplace, and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees, customers, visitors. Comply with the Company's Quality Management System requirements and promote the advancement of the QMS within TCI - Texarkana Aluminum, Inc. Follow all written SOPs and Work Instructions per detail. Understanding of customer requirements and knowledge of the production processes. Perform chemical and physical analysis procedures and ability to understand cause and effect (the processes). Operation of OES with Drift Correction, Type Standardization, Standard Checks, production sample analysis, in addition to maintaining the preventive maintenance schedules. Collect and prepare aluminum samples, perform destructive and nondestructive testing using various types of Laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: shears, CNCs, tensile testers, and other handheld and precision instruments. Scrutinize results to ensure all samples meet AA and customer requirements. Collect and prepare coolant samples, analyze by standard chemical procedures using specialized Laboratory instruments, interpret and report results. Use results to make decisions on coolant additions and recommendations on coolant dumps. Determine when material is non-conforming, report it, and, when necessary, research pertinent information to correct the issue. Operate and maintain calibrated laboratory equipment. Record and process all non-routine work requests. Maintain quality and performance documents, records, logs, or files. Assist Laboratory Supervisor with compliance of
ISO 9001
2015. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management and/or Laboratory Supervisor. Ability to succeed in metrics-driven environment.
