Position:

Assist in the reverse engineering and drawing creation of FAA approved aftermarket aircraft parts by using a variety of precision measurement tools and methods, and providing feedback and recommendations to engineers regarding part features, drawing layout and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) usage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Competently use a variety of metrology inspection tools to assist in the reverse engineering of aircraft parts Use 3D CAD software to develop/interpret drawings and scans Perform special projects or assignment to support department Manage time effectively and consistently meet task deadlines Create dimensional data reports in Excel Collaborate closely with engineering and metrology groups to ensure department goals are achieved Mentor and assist in training of Engineering interns Operate OGP Starlite, optical comparator, and height gage
