Job Description

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Analyst position at its facility in Richland, WA. Ideal candidates will possess the following:
  • A BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (required)
  • Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 20lbs above waist level Laboratory Analyst duties include sample analysis by various microbiological assays, raw data login, results interpretation, reporting via LIMS, professional interactions with the customer, and other duties as assigned.
Secondary duties may include, sample sorting and log-in, media/sample preparation, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, and other duties as assigned. The pay range for this position is $20.50 to $21.50 hourly. This is a full-time position eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long
  • and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met). This position operates on a rotating shift basis: the schedule for week 1 is Wednesday
  • Thursday, from 7:00am to 7:30pm; the schedule for week 2 is Monday
  • Tuesday and Friday
  • Sunday, from 7:00am
  • 7:30pm. This position will switch to night shift (2:00pm
  • 2:30am) in July.
