Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting precise laboratory experiments, supporting quality control processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to scientific research, clinical studies, and product development within a rigorous laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent analysis skills, and a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures across various disciplines including microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and animal physiology.
Duties:
Work Environment:
Exposure to high temperatures (around 110°F) and dusty conditions; requires standing, climbing, and crawling for extended periods.
Routine Testing:
Perform analytical and laboratory tests to support food safety, quality, and operational teams.
Instrumentation Monitoring:
Check and monitor performance of laboratory instruments; conduct tests under intermediate supervision.
Documentation:
Record test results in databases and communicate findings to internal teams
Food Safety Culture:
Collaborate cross‑functionally to build and improve food safety, quality, and regulatory culture.
Calibration & Maintenance:
Run calibration checks, perform preventive maintenance, and carry out simple repairs on analytical instruments.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and compliance programs during all testing activities.
Inspections & Trials:
Conduct quantitative and qualitative inspections on raw materials in‑process, and final products; support complex trials under supervision.
Administrative Support:
Handle clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues under general supervision, escalating complex matters as needed.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
MUST HAVE
This will be in a food manufacturing environment There may be brief exposure to high temperatures around 110 F and dusty environments Candidate will need to be able to stand for extended periods, climb, crawl Will complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality Interpret and document results of tests into active databases and communicate results to internal customers as required Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process and final products independently, supporting more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
Shift Timing:
6 AM - 6 PM Weekly schedule: M-F CH1
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
