12-Hour Day Shift | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off | 6:00 AM - 6:00
PM Pay:
22.00-24.73/hr.
Terms:
Contract with possibility of extension or conversion The Laboratory Technician supports food safety, quality assurance, and production operations through routine analytical and laboratory testing in a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for conducting product testing, monitoring instrumentation performance, documenting results, and helping maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting while collaborating cross-functionally with quality, operations, and food safety teams. Key Responsibilities Perform routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products Conduct product analysis and accurately document and communicate test results Monitor instrumentation performance and perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting or repairs Maintain laboratory records, databases, and customer specification documentation Support food safety, quality, and regulatory programs by ensuring adherence to company procedures and compliance standards Assist with routine inspections, product evaluations, and support more complex trials and experiments under supervision Identify and escalate more complex technical or quality issues to appropriate personnel Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and laboratory manuals Prepare routine reports and maintain accurate documentation Work Environment & Physical Requirements Food manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to dusty conditions and temperatures up to approximately 110°F Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift Must be able to climb, crawl, bend, and move throughout the production environment as needed Must follow all safety, quality, and GMP guidelines Qualifications Previous laboratory, quality, or manufacturing experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to work independently with intermediate supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment •This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
