Shifts:
3rd shift: Sunday-Wednesday, 2am-12:30pm 2nd shift: Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday, 12pm-10:30pm 2nd shift: Wednesday-Saturday, 12pm-10:30pm
Pay Range:
$17-$20/hr (dependent on level of prior experience)
Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is looking to hire a laboratory technician for a client of ours in the New Berlin, WI area. Below are general responsibilities. Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded. Sample preparation, processing detection sponges, plate reading. Responsible for preparatory processing of incoming samples, in compliance with all applicable standard operating procedures and quality systems. Care and maintenance of equipment associated with this testing.
Desired Traits:
AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Basic knowledge of laboratory practices or willingness to be trained. Excellent communication and professionalism. Attention to detail, excellent work ethic, self sufficient mindset.
Plusses:
Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation. Experience in a food testing lab or other lab testing settings.
