Job DescriptionShift:

Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 4:30 PMThe GTS Department is dedicated to supporting

ELISA/HB

planting, harvesting, extraction, and testing; DNA QA grinding, plating, and testing; MBGT planting, plating and testing; Electrophoresis planting, plating, extraction and testing.

The GTS Department includes genetic purity testing using Isozyme Electrophoresis, trait purity testing using ELISA/Herbicide Bioassay testing, and adventitious presence and zygosity testing using in DNA QA using PCR.The DNA Associate Scientist is responsible for helping in all activities, as directed, for the

work streams, with primary focus in DNA extraction, testing, and data analysis.

Responsibilities and DutiesGeneral:

Communicate effectively internally and externallyWork cooperativelyParticipate in general laboratory maintenanceEffectively communicate sample/internal issues to Manager and/or Group Lead as appropriateEffectively communicate personnel issues to Manager and/ or

Assist with the creation of plate maps for DNA QAAssist in DNA QA extraction, testing, data analysis, and reportingBecome proficient in all areas of GTS planting/sample prep/evaluating/harvesting/extraction/testingHelp, support and maintain EBDI Safety programHelp, support and maintain

EBDI ISO

quality systemEnsure accurate and efficient execution of written protocolsTechnical training on equipment/processes in different labs as neededOther duties as needed

QualificationsEducation/Experience:

High school and science aptitudeWithin a commutable distance of the worksite location. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Experience using Microsoft Office SuiteAttention to detailFlexibleGood communication skills
