You will provide routine healthcare for inmates, including medication administration, triage of minor injuries, vaccinations, and basic nursing procedures such as vital signs and lab collection. Required qualifications include an active and unencumbered LPN license and experience in administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing basic patient care. Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is essential. Experience in correctional healthcare or psychiatric nursing is recommended. Nurse-patient ratios are manageable, allowing you to establish therapeutic relationships and develop individualized care plans.
