Job Description
Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse is a multi-functional role at Vivian B. Adams School. The LPN plays a vital role in the Nursing Department and in the LEA Department as a Classroom Aide. We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed in the State of Alabama with a minimum of 2 years of patient care experience. Classroom Aide duties include assisting with learning activities and classroom activities, Nursing duties include assisting the VBAS RN in daily nursing duties to include tube feedings, administering medications, first aid, CPR or any other necessary medical measures. The LPN will perform all nursing duties when the RN is off campus. The LPN also assists with daily bus duty. Experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Physical Disabilities is preferred, but not required. Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed in the State of Alabama. This is a full time, year round position.
