Job Description

As a member of the Health Support Center (HSC) team, you'll support those that are in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier ® . More about our team At North Alabama Medical Center our team is staffed 24/7 with physicians, nurses and staff who are trained in providing quality care. Our team combines advanced training with compassionate service to be ready for you or your family when you need it the most.
Post Surgical Unit:
Our Post Surgical Unit specializes in caring for patients in the unit using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. This unit provides nurses the opportunity to develop strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and technical skills while caring for patients. Opportunities to build clinical skills and impact your community How you'll contribute You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies post surgical needs Perform post operative assessments Perform wound care Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record Multidisciplinary Collaborations What we're looking for: Applicants should have a current state LPN license.
Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire. Requires one year of nursing experience.
