Job Description

Overview We are looking for a dedicated Cardiology Research LPN to join our clinical trials team. In this role, you won't just be treating patients; you'll be helping to pioneer the next generation of cardiovascular therapies. This position blends clinical excellence with administrative precision, perfect for an LPN who enjoys a fast-paced environment and contributing to medical breakthroughs.
Responsibilities Protocol Adherence:
Execute research protocols accurately and efficiently, including patient screening, enrollment, informed consent, and data collection.
Procedure Support:
Provide support to cardiologists and surgeons during research cases to ensure protocol adherence.
Clinical Procedures:
Perform study-related nursing procedures, including vital signs, phlebotomy, ECG acquisition, and medication administration per protocol. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and study-specific guidelines.
Data Management:
Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation of all research activities, including case report forms (CRFs), electronic data capture (EDC) systems, and source documents.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cardiologists, interventionalists, research coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless trial execution and patient continuity of care.
Regulatory Compliance:
Adhere to all regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and institutional policies related to human subject research.
Equipment & Technology:
Assist with the use and monitoring of specialized equipment and technology utilized in the Cath Lab and OR settings for research procedures.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families about study procedures, potential risks, and benefits in a clear and compassionate manner. Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Active nursing license in the state of Arkansas. BLS and ACLS certification required. Prior experience in clinical research or cath lab preferred but not required. Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional cardiology procedures. Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and computer systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
