Job Description

Job description: Hedberg Allergy & Asthma | Rogers & Fayetteville, AR Hedberg Allergy & Asthma is seeking a Licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our specialty allergy and asthma clinic team. This role focuses heavily on allergy injections, shot clinic flow, patient education, and serum management. Applicants must be able to work at both our Rogers and Fayetteville clinic locations. We are looking for a motivated, patient‑focused LPN who thrives in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced clinical environment. Position Summary The LPN provides direct patient care and clinical support with a primary focus on allergy injection services ("shot clinic"), patient safety, and clinic efficiency. This role supports providers, core nursing staff, and clinic leadership while ensuring an excellent patient experience. Essential Job Duties Administer allergy injections according to state, federal, and clinic guidelines Monitor patients post‑injection and respond promptly to adverse reactions or emergencies Assist with urgent patient triage, including phone triage, when needed Maintain efficient patient flow within the shot clinic Track serum orders, usage, storage, expirations, and reporting to minimize loss Maintain accurate serum documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) Provide patient education using clinic‑approved materials regarding serums and treatment plans Ensure shot department supplies are stocked and maintained at appropriate levels Maintain and monitor vaccine and serum refrigeration units at all clinic locations Assess and evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications Assist with specialty medication prior authorizations as needed Provide support in exam rooms when needed Collaborate with the care team to enhance patient experience and clinic operations Follow all safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Demonstrate strong time‑management skills and ability to self‑direct during slower clinic periods Perform additional duties as assigned by physicians, lead nurses, or clinic administration Qualifications LPN Prior clinical experience preferred (allergy, immunology, or specialty clinic experience a plus) Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency or high‑stress situations Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Reliable attendance and professional appearance Ability and willingness to work at both the Rogers and Fayetteville clinic locations Schedule Monday through Thursday clinic schedule Rotating Saturday mornings No Sunday hours Specialty clinic environment
