More about our team An LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) clinic is a healthcare setting where LPNs provide patient care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or physicians. In these clinics, LPNs perform a variety of tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, assisting with minor procedures, providing patient education, and supporting routine healthcare services. LPNs play an essential role in delivering personalized care, ensuring patient comfort, and helping with the overall management of patient needs in the clinic setting. How you'll contribute
Staffing and Scheduling:
Manage nurse schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all units, addressing gaps due to absences or increased patient acuity. ​
Resource Allocation:
Assign nursing staff based on patient needs, acuity levels, and staff competencies to optimize care delivery. ​
Crisis Management:
Respond to emergencies such as patient crises, natural disasters, or security incidents, implementing appropriate protocols and coordinating with relevant departments. ​
Communication:
Serve as the liaison between nursing staff, physicians, patients, families, and hospital administration, ensuring effective information flow and addressing concerns promptly. ​
Policy Enforcement:
Uphold hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. ​
Patient Flow Coordination:
Monitor patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to maintain optimal bed utilization and reduce bottlenecks in patient care services. ​
Mentorship and Support:
Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, addressing clinical questions, facilitating professional development, and promoting a positive work environment. You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
