POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing patient care in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable approach. This includes, but is not limited to assessment, planning, education, prevention, implementation and evaluation of the patients? status, plan of care and goal achievement.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Educates the patient and their families on their current condition, including dietary and lifestyle changes, medication therapy and exercise. Develops patient care plan in order to monitor and maintain patient condition. Performs adequate medication analysis and adjustments based off testing as necessary. Continually assesses patient care plan and adapts plan to meet patient needs. Collaborates with appropriate leadership in order to establish best plan of care for patients. Follows policy when disposing of biohazardous materials, labeling, and handling of all materials. Demonstrates a working knowledge of cardiac nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to care for the patient. Maintains working knowledge of all medical equipment. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and appropriate facility meetings. Travel to other offices based on patient care needs. Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of licensure.
