Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate nursing services across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, assisted living, and community health environments. Your skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical procedures will ensure the delivery of high-quality, personalized care. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy. Manage complex clinical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, and sterile dressing changes with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Document all patient interactions thoroughly using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care. Assist in diagnostic evaluations by collecting specimens for laboratory testing and processing samples accurately for testing procedures like sonography or laboratory analysis. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as hospitals (including ICU and Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, outpatient clinics, or home health environments to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Qualifications Valid LVN license in good standing with current state certification requirements. Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Strong background working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal ventilator management, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner. Hands-on experience with advanced clinical skills such as airway management, ventilator operation, wound suturing, and infection control protocols. Knowledge of pharmacology related to pain management, acute pain treatment, infectious disease care, and hospice services. Excellent patient assessment skills coupled with the ability to perform triage effectively in urgent or emergency situations including emergency room or urgent care environments. Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams across various healthcare settings.
