Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a direct impact in the lives of students by providing dedicated healthcare support in a dynamic school setting. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours during the school year (30 hours per week) in an itinerant role, working closely with medically fragile students on a 1:1 basis. You'll rotate between campuses and students, collaborating with staff, students, and families to ensure exceptional care and safety.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid LPN/LVN licensure for California required Previous school nursing experience, especially with medically fragile or special needs students, is highly valued Strong clinical skills: experience with gastronomy care, bladder cauterization, diabetes/insulin management (including CGM & carb counting), administration of medication (Epipen, Benadryl, etc.) Confident in training staff and supporting classroom teams in medical procedures Familiarity working with students aged 4-22, including those with ASD and developmental delays Ability to respond promptly and efficiently to urgent health needs Bilingual Spanish skills preferred, though not required
Primary Responsibilities:
Review and update seizure and individualized health plans Deliver training to school staff on specific medical procedures Build relationships with students and connect regularly with parents Provide on-call support for urgent health issues during school hours Assist with direct care, including medication administration and daily medical needs This opportunity allows you to apply your nursing expertise in a supportive educational environment, where your skills are valued and your contributions truly matter.
