In this vital role, you will provide compassionate nursing services across diverse settings, including acute care, long-term care, assisted living, and community health environments. Your skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and medical documentation will ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and personalized care. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and catheter care. Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with complex procedures such as wound suturing, tube feeding, venipuncture, and sterile processing techniques. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring memory care and behavioral health support. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings like Level I Trauma Centers or ICU environments to coordinate patient treatment plans. Support discharge planning and case management efforts to facilitate smooth transitions from inpatient to outpatient or home care settings. Conduct patient education on medication administration, health coaching, and disease management tailored to individual needs. Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Critical care experience in ICU or Level I Trauma Center environments with knowledge of acute pain management and airway management techniques. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those in hospice or palliative care. Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Skilled in performing phlebotomy, IV insertion/infusion, catheterization, and specimen collection/processing with aseptic technique. Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance to ensure patient privacy and safety. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge to deliver high-quality nursing care across multiple specialties including cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, and neonatal intensive care units (NICU).
