We have been providing specialized services and care to our community for over 40 years. At Brittany House, caring is our main concern. Our organization is built on the premise that the most effective way to provide compassionate care is to: Maintain high medical integrity. Foster a team spirit among staff. Create friendly, beautiful surroundings for our patients and their visitors. We are currently seeking full-time L.V.N.'s for all shifts who can provide personal and direct care to our residents with daily activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Duties:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Assist with patient assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems to input and retrieve patient information.
  • Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection and promote patient safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their healthcare needs.
  • Assist with procedures such as wound care, suture removal, and specimen collection.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of California.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in primary care or memory care.
  • Proficient in medical record systems and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices.
  • Ability to perform patient assessments and recognize changes in condition.
  • Familiarity with neonatal ventilators is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to administer injections and other medications as required.
