Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an LPN/LVN supporting schools in the vibrant Monterey and Marina, CA area, starting July 30th and continuing through the end of the school year. This full-time, itinerant position offers an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact by assisting multiple school health offices, collaborating with local Health Departments, and ensuring students receive essential health services and screenings. Your role will involve triaging as needed, filling in at various locations, and playing a key part in the organization and coordination of oral health screenings and other vital health initiatives. Your clinical knowledge and ability to adapt seamlessly to different environments will help you thrive as you support both students and staff across the district.
Ideal candidates possess:
Active LPN/LVN licensure in California Proven experience in school health settings or pediatric care highly valued Strong organizational, delegation, and planning abilities Excellent clinical skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented work style Ability to self-direct, multitask, and function as a reliable member of different support teams Communication expertise for both healthcare collaboration and student/family engagement Key responsibilities: Provide flexible, roving support to various school health offices based on daily needs Collaborate with local agencies for health screenings and community initiatives Deliver excellent nursing care to students, addressing triage situations swiftly and effectively Assist with reporting, documentation, and maintaining compliance with local health regulations Foster a positive, collaborative environment for staff, students, and families This opportunity offers highly competitive compensation in the range of $38-45 per hour, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance options (medical, dental, vision, life), matching 401k, and a flexible spending account.
