Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Take advantage of a rewarding opportunity as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) providing homebound services to a middle school student for the upcoming summer session. This contract position runs from now through July, offering a chance to truly make a positive impact during the summer school term. With half-day shifts scheduled Monday through Friday, you'll enjoy a balanced workday while supporting a student's health and learning needs in a personalized home setting.
Key Qualifications:
Active California LVN or LPN license in good standing Previous experience delivering nursing care to children or adolescents, preferably in a school or pediatric setting Proficient assessment and clinical documentation skills Strong communication abilities for working collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals Compassionate, adaptable, and able to work independently in a home environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medical care and ongoing health monitoring for a middle school-aged student Provide medication management, assistance with daily living needs, and support during educational activities Closely document health status, treatments, and interventions according to school and clinical standards Serve as a health advocate, maintaining student wellness and encouraging participation in daily summer school activities Communicate clearly with parents/guardians and school personnel regarding progress and any health concerns In return, you can look forward to competitive weekly pay, a streamlined hiring process, and the satisfaction of delivering essential care during a critical period in a student's educational journey.
