In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations across various settings. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and overall well-being through comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and collaborative care planning. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform care plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Manage airway devices, ventilators, catheters, and perform sterile procedures like catheterization and suturing as needed. Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs including Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care, and behavioral health issues. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing and medical imaging procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and patient education to optimize health outcomes. Requirements Valid LVN license in good standing with current state licensing requirements. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly preferred. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and infection control protocols. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR point click care familiarity with medical documentation standards. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring and physiological evaluations. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring hospice or post-acute care. Ability to perform advanced procedures such as IV insertion/insertion techniques, venipuncture, tube feeding management, vent and trach exp and gastric lavage. Strong understanding of pain management strategies including acute pain management and trauma-related care. Excellent communication skills for triage situations and patient education; capable of working efficiently under pressure in emergency medicine or urgent care settings.
