At Merakey, we put our heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in our Redding, CA location. PRN Role! Earn $33/Hour. The LVN provides direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and ensures implementation of physician orders, coordination of medical appointments, and continuity of care for individuals with complex medical needs. This is a structured, team-based environment where nurses are supported and empowered to deliver high-quality care. Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor vital signs, blood glucose, seizure activity, skin integrity, and overall health status
- Provide skilled nursing care within LVN scope of practice
- Schedule and coordinate routine and specialty medical appointments
- Ensure medical documentation accompanies residents to appointments
- Receive, process, and implement physician orders promptly and accurately
- Track follow-up appointments, labs, and referrals to ensure completion
- Maintain accurate MARs and clinical documentation
- Report changes in condition to RN and medical providers
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies Qualifications
- Active LVN license in good standing
- Current driver's license.
- Experience in long-term care, developmental services, or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment The position is responsible for overall medical needs of assigned individuals in our Intellectual Developmental Disability residential programs.
