School LPN - Redwood City, California ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Redwood City, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract From $30 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications LVN LPN Full Job Description Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful role supporting the well-being of a young student as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) within a school setting. This part-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a pre-kindergarten student diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to ensure optimal health and safety for the student throughout the school day and during transport. This position is ideal for an LVN/LPN passionate about pediatric care and seeking a consistent, manageable schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unencumbered LVN/LPN license in California Current CPR certification Prior experience with pediatric populations, especially those with complex medical needs Confidence in administering NG and G-tube feedings Proficiency with respiratory care equipment, including Chest Wall Oscillation Vests and nebulizers Comfortable with bus riding and able to provide care during student transport
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 nursing care to a single student four days weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 12:15-2:45 PM) Monitor medical status and address immediate care needs throughout the school day Operate, monitor, and maintain feeding tubes and respiratory equipment according to the student's care plan Support the student's bus rides by overseeing respiratory status and responding to emergencies promptly Maintain accurate documentation and communication with caregivers, teachers, and staff You'll enjoy competitive compensation starting at $30 per hour and the chance to directly impact a student's school experience in a supportive environment.
