SBHG:
  • Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
  • Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
  • Associate degree, preferred.
  • One (1) year of service experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting, preferred.
  • One (1) year of medication administration experience is required.
  • Valid California LVN or LPT license.
  • Current CPR certification
  • First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
How you will make a difference: The
LVN / LPT
provides direct client care including the administration of medications and supervising nursing activities performed by professional and para-professional nursing personnel on the unit. Duties include Ordering, preparing, administering, and documenting the administration of medication for clients according to physicians' orders. Confirming delivery of all ordered medication from the pharmacy on shift worked. Communicating pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members. Responsible for writing a weekly summary on the client as assigned. Monitoring and maintaining appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for the shift worked. The job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
Division/Program Overview:
  • The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility.
  • Designed to help adult residents, ages 18-59, who experience a psychiatric crisis to safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to community.
Services include:
  • 24/7 Program
  • Therapeutic and mental health services
  • Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
  • Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
  • Medication evaluation and support services
  • Daily exercise and health/wellness education
