Group•3.2 San Jose, CA Job Details PRN $37•$40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Nursing BLS Certification Driver's License Bachelor's degree Full Job Description The LVN at LGTC Group's Eating Disorder Residential plays a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to our adolescent clients going through eating disorder treatment in our 24/7 facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all patients receive timely medical attention and support, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery. The LVN will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and monitor patient progress. Additionally, this role involves educating clients and their families about medication under the direction of our medical providers. Ultimately, the LVN will help create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes healing and comfort for all clients. •This is an on-call, where we ask for coverage for call-outs or when regularly scheduled staff need time off. As a 1099-contractor, pay is on a monthly basis.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and document patient vital signs and health status. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Aid the milieu counselors on the floor and assist with bathroom observations and cleaning tasks. Crisis de-escalation as needed. The ability to perform basic wound care Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (psychology, sociology, social work, or other relevant fields preferred). Must be fully licensed. Valid BLS/CPR certificate. California driver's license. Availability to work on weekends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Reliable and able to commit to a set schedule for a minimum of six months (for part-time or full-time candidates).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a residential treatment center or similar healthcare setting Knowledge of mental health nursing practices. Knowledge or experience with eating disorders Bilingual skills in English and Spanish or other languages. Experience working with teenagers At least two years of experience, preferably in the mental health field LGTC Group is an equal opportunity employer.
