Swing Shift | 8 to 10 hour shifts (2:00-10:00 PM or 1:00-11:00 PM)

1245 W. Chestnut Avenue, Santa Ana, CA The Runway Recovery is looking to hire two (2) qualified medical staff members. More specifically, we are looking for team members motivated to support our clients who are struggling with chemical dependency and mental health. This is an extremely challenging position BUT also one of the most rewarding. Responsibilities and Duties Assess clients for detoxification symptoms. Admission/intakes Searching clients and belongings Discharges and Transfers Medication Destruction for all properties. Transportation of clients to labs or doctors appointments Accurately inputting, logging, and auditing all medications and evaluations per doctors' orders and ensuring all medications are picked up in a timely manner. Sends medication clarifications when necessary and uploads medication clarifications into KIPU. Observes self-administration of client medications and obtain vitals, CIWAS, and COWS. Facilitates refills and ensures all client's refills are kept up on. Ensures client psychiatric evaluations are uploaded into KIPU in a timely manner. Forward all controlled medication refusals to the Medical Director. Update the Client board daily with proper detox protocols and notify staff of any changes Communicate with clients regarding medications and doctors' orders. Inform clients of the specific medications they are taking.

Audit the following: Client Psychiatric Evaluations (referrals, labs, follow-ups, etc), client medication record, DHCS Health Questionnaire, nursing assessment, pain screens, nutritional screens, and pre-cert for authorization evaluation. Direct contact with Medical Director and personnel. Administer client TB test. Informs Medical Director of all intakes and schedules initial psychiatric evaluation. Crisis intervention Medication Education, Health and Wellness Groups Office and computer work Monitor and assist clients throughout their day Client rounds Maintain cleanliness and clean up as required. Some cooking when needed Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Current
MA/EMT/MA/CNA
- registered, licensed, or board certification Successful completion of a California Approved / Medical Assistant / Certified Nursing Assistant /Emergency Medical Technician Program. Has a minimum of 1-year experience in the treatment of behavioral health/substance abuse disorder. Ability to follow instructions clearly and precisely while experiencing multiple competing demands from staff and clients Current TB test Valid Drivers License with a clean record Certificates and Licenses Current
