Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school environment as an LPN/LVN, where your expertise supports students' health, safety, and learning. This contract opportunity offers a meaningful chance to impact young lives in an educational setting near Torrance, CA.
Key Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in California Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is valued CPR certification and a solid foundation in first aid principles Strong communication abilities to interact with students, parents, and staff Capacity to work independently and adapt to changing priorities throughout the school day
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, health assessments, and management of chronic illnesses or acute needs that arise during the school day Collaborate with school staff and parents regarding student health plans and support accommodations for individuals with medical needs Monitor and document health events and interventions according to regulatory and district standards Participate in health screenings and contribute to health education programs for students and staff Respond efficiently to health emergencies and maintain a calm, compassionate approach throughout all interactions This contract position provides a rewarding balance of healthcare and education, letting you positively shape the school experience for children who need it most.
