This is a
Full-Time Position Compensation Range:
$22.26 to $33.38

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Supervisory-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:
    N/A Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:
    • Positive and supportive team member to staff members and the hospital.
    • Attends staff meetings.
    • Strives to ensure continual compliance with Departmental and Hospital Policies and Procedures and State/Federal Regulations.
    • Participates in mandatory in-services.
    • Identifies and accesses the system to report abuse to employees and/or patients.
    • Adheres to policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and risk management.
    • Direct patient care. Implements and utilizes the Nursing Process Assessment, Intervention, Evaluation, Discharge Planning, and Reassessment under the supervision of an RN or Provider.
    • Ability to assess the geriatric patient for safety, medication dose(s) appropriateness.
    • Confers with RN and/or Provider before administering pediatric doses and uses proper equipment for the patient's size and age.
    • Acts as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and staff.
    • Completes workload as assigned.
    • Respects the confidentiality of patient records and uses complete discretion when discussing patient information.
    • Utilizes all department forms appropriately.
    • Makes patient charges according to hospital policy and procedures.
    • Accurately administers medication, performs treatment in accordance with standards of care, and dispenses according to policy.
    • Assists physicians with special tests and procedures.
    • Demonstrates an ability to start IV after completing IV class for LPN's.
    • Actively participates in education specific to patient diagnosis and needs.
    • Knowledge of paperwork for transferring patients to other facilities.
    • Ability to perform all clerical duties.
    • Accurately and concisely write intra- and interdepartmental reports.
    • Ability to gather resources within the hospital to provide adequate care.
    • Collects, labels, and transports all specimens appropriately.
    • Demonstrates proper technique when setting up for special procedures.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency equipment placement.
    • Acts as a resource person to other staff members.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Adheres to the MRH attire and dress code in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
    • Exhibits initiative and self-motivation; maintains a consistent level of productivity and manages time and responsibilities effectively.
    • Completes all required annual education, training, in-services, and licensure/certification updates; actively participates in departmental and organizational meetings or reviews meeting minutes as required.
    • Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times.
    • Reports to work punctually and completes assigned duties within established timeframes.
    • Actively contributes to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives.
    • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies.
    • Follows all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver's license).
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must successfully pass a background check.
    • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
    • Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
    EDUCATION, LICENSURE
    (S), AND
    CERTIFICATION
    (S) Required Preferred ☒ ☐ Current and active Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Compact license. ☒ ☐ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire). ☐ ☒ Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
    EXPERIENCE
    Required Preferred ☐ ☒ One (1) year of prior LPN experience. ☐ ☒ One (1) year of clinic experience.
