Description ColoVAX's goal is to provide immunization education and vaccinations to underserved communities. ColoVAX is seeking a compassionate and dedicated RN or LPN to join our team in Colorado. This position plays a crucial role in providing vaccinations to children in accordance with the Vaccines for Children program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric vaccines and be committed to promoting public health and safety. This position demands flexibility and dedication, with irregular hours and occasional overnight travel across Colorado. Requirements:
Current RN or LPN license in the State of Colorado Lift up to 50 pounds Work outdoors Travel across Colorado, including some overnight travel Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Join us in our mission to protect and promote the health of our community through vaccination.
Preferred:
Knowledge of VFC program guidelines and vaccine administration protocols
Duties:
Administer vaccines to children according to VFC program guidelines Educate parents and caregivers on the importance of vaccinations and proper immunization schedules Adhere to all regulatory requirements and best practices in vaccine administration Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while ensuring high quality patient care
Skills:
Proficient in the use of electronic health records for vaccines Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
