Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in diverse patient care settings across the region. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work in various facilities, including hospitals, long-term care centers, assisted living communities, and home health environments. As a Travel LPN, you will provide compassionate nursing care, perform assessments, administer medications and treatments, and support patients with complex needs. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across multiple healthcare settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Perform patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating patient conditions to inform treatment plans. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict protocols and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, wound care, tube feeding, and ventilator management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet regulatory standards and patient needs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy policies and maintain clinical confidentiality at all times. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation, medication administration records (MAR), and patient data management. Requirements Valid LPN license in the state of practice with current certification. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency rooms is highly preferred. Strong background working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and those requiring hospice or palliative care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation. Knowledge of
ICD-9/10
coding systems for medical record accuracy and billing processes. Experience with IV insertion, phlebotomy, injection administration, and sterile techniques. Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical settings while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. Excellent assessment skills combined with physiology knowledge to evaluate patient conditions effectively. Strong communication skills for triage duties and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
