Clinical documentation LPN Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled NURSE for daily pay to provide exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, and be adaptable to various medical environments. This role offers an opportunity to work flexibly while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate and professional nursing services. Candidates with experience in critical care, medical-surgical, outpatient, or long-term care are encouraged to apply. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA regulations and safety protocols, including IV infusions and medication administration. Provide specialized care such as wound suturing, ostomy care, catheterization, dialysis support, and ventilator management in accordance with established clinical guidelines. Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results; utilize medical imaging techniques when necessary. Support acute pain management, trauma medicine, emergency room procedures, triage assessments, and critical care interventions in Level I or Level II trauma centers or ICU settings. Educate patients and their families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication adherence, and post-acute care strategies tailored to individual needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation compliant with ICD coding standards (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and ensure confidentiality per HIPAA regulations. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health units, and senior or memory care facilities. Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient management. Extensive clinical experience in diverse areas including emergency medicine, ICU/CCU/PCU units, medical-surgical wards, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilators), geriatrics (including dementia and Alzheimer's care), and home & community care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic technique, airway management techniques such as tube feeding or gastric lavage. Skilled in performing advanced procedures like catheterization (urinary or central lines), phlebotomy (venipuncture), suturing techniques, sterile processing protocols, and laboratory specimen handling. Familiarity with healthcare regulations including NCQA standards and Workers' Compensation law; experience with CPT coding for billing purposes. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings such as urgent care centers or outpatient clinics while maintaining high-quality patient care standards. Excellent communication skills for patient assessment discussions and interdisciplinary collaboration; compassionate approach suited for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
