In this vital role, you will provide compassionate nursing care to diverse patient populations across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, assisted living, and community health environments. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive high-quality, personalized care while supporting their comfort, safety, and recovery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through proactive nursing interventions and collaborative teamwork. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders, including IV infusions and other advanced therapies. Manage airway maintenance, ventilator support, catheterization, and sterile procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for patients with complex conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or those requiring hospice or palliative care. Assist in diagnostic evaluations including specimen collection/processing and medical imaging procedures when necessary. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or home & community care services. Requirements Valid LPN license with current state certification; additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers preferred. Demonstrated expertise in medical-surgical nursing, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth for accurate documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding standards for medical documentation and billing purposes. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, infection control protocols and pain management strategies. Ability to perform venipuncture (venipuncture), phlebotomy, tube feeding management, catheter care and other advanced nursing skills confidently. Excellent communication skills to triage patient needs effectively and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams across various healthcare settings.
