Job Description

About the Role Premier Pediatrics is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to medically complex pediatric patients in the comfort of their homes across Washington, DC and surrounding areas. You will partner closely with families, physicians, and our multidisciplinary care team to deliver individualized care to children ages 0-21. Key Responsibilities Provide direct skilled nursing care per the individualized care plan for medically fragile pediatric patients (ages 0-21) Administer medications, treatments, and technology-dependent care including tracheostomy, ventilator, and G-tube management Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and response to interventions Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and the clinical care team regarding patient status and changes in condition Educate and support families in caregiving techniques, medication administration, and home safety Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) Respond calmly and competently to emergency situations in the home setting Qualifications & Requirements Current, unrestricted LPN licensure in the District of Columbia (or eligibility for DC licensure) Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; pediatric, NICU, PICU, or home health experience strongly preferred Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) Experience with tracheostomy care, mechanical ventilation, G-tube, and/or central line management a plus Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the DC metro area Strong communication, critical thinking, and family-centered care skills TB screening and background check required prior to start
Pay:
$39.00 - $43.00 per hour
