Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Substance Abuse and Mental Health to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and substance use disorders, fostering recovery and promoting overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of diverse populations, including those with complex mental health needs. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, mental status evaluations, and physical examinations tailored to mental health and substance abuse contexts Administer medications accurately, including injections, and other treatments. Monitor patients' responses to treatment plans, managing acute pain and addressing emergent issues with prompt triage and intervention Maintain detailed medical documentation ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized discharge planning, case management strategies, and follow-up care plans Provide education on medication administration. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions Familiarity with accurate medical documentation. Experience in mental health settings including inpatient psychiatric units or outpatient clinics is highly desirable Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to psychiatric nursing Ability to perform patient assessments efficiently in fast-paced environments. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
