We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Student Success Coordinator to support student achievement within our Practical Nursing (PN) program. Position Summary The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for promoting student retention, progression, academic achievement, and NCLEX readiness throughout the nursing program. This position provides individualized support and evidence-based interventions to help students successfully progress from enrollment through graduation and achieve first-time NCLEX success. The Student Success Coordinator collaborates closely with nursing faculty, program administrators, and student support services to identify students at risk, develop remediation strategies, monitor academic performance, and implement initiatives that enhance student outcomes and program effectiveness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Student Success and Retention
- Identify students at risk for academic failure, course failure, or program dismissal.
- Monitor student performance at both the course and program levels.
- Track academic progression and maintain documentation of student interventions.
- Develop individualized Student Success Plans and remediation strategies.
- Establish learning contracts and accountability measures for identified students.
- Conduct weekly individual or group meetings (in-person or virtual) with at-risk students.
- Provide academic coaching, study strategies, and time-management support.
- Monitor and support re-admitted students through scheduled meetings and regular communication.
- Collaborate with faculty to promote student engagement, retention, and academic success.
- Connect students with institutional resources and support services as needed. NCLEX Success Coordination
- Develop and oversee NCLEX preparedness initiatives throughout the nursing curriculum.
- Track graduate NCLEX testing dates, eligibility, and licensure outcomes.
- Analyze and monitor ATI Content Mastery Series (CMS) and Comprehensive Predictor assessment results.
- Monitor trends in student performance and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Track and evaluate student and graduate participation in NCLEX preparation courses and implement interventions to support licensure success.
- Collaborate with faculty to promote NCLEX readiness.
- Conduct weekly graduate outreach through phone calls, email, and/or face-to-face meetings until graduates obtain licensure.
- Review licensure applications and assist students with resolving application deficiencies.
- Coordinate the ordering and distribution of Pearson VUE vouchers.
- Facilitate submission of graduate names to the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Prepare weekly NCLEX reports and provide updates to nursing administration. Curriculum and Instruction Support
- Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, or clinical instruction as needed.
- Implement evidence-based teaching and learning strategies that promote student success.
- Participate in curriculum evaluation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Analyze ATI and student performance data to identify curricular gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Present outcome data and trends during faculty meetings, curriculum meetings, and program reviews.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Systematic Plan for Evaluation (SPE).
- Support accreditation activities, including preparation for ACEN and other regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required Education
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from a nationally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Required Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing education experience in higher education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct clinical nursing experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting student success and NCLEX preparation.
- Experience with ATI products and standardized testing preferred.
- Experience with accreditation and program evaluation processes preferred. Licensure
- Current, active, and unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of
NCLEX-PN
preparation strategies.
- Knowledge of nursing education best practices and student retention models.
- Ability to analyze and interpret educational data and outcome measures.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in educational technology, learning management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
