Licensed Practical Nurse Serenus Detox Jacksonville, FL Job Details Full-time $30 - $34 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork BLS Certification CPR LPN Time management Full Job Description We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our ambulatory detox team in Tennessee. This role is ideal for a nurse who has experience in—or a strong passion for—substance abuse treatment, addiction recovery, and mental health care. The LPN will play a vital role in supporting patients through detoxification and recovery in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients receiving ambulatory detox and behavioral health services Monitor patient vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, medication compliance, and overall clinical condition Administer medications and treatments as ordered by providers Support patients with compassion, professionalism, and trauma-informed care Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, counselors, and behavioral health staff Accurately document patient care, assessments, and treatment progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, recovery resources, and wellness strategies Respond appropriately to urgent or changing patient needs Maintain compliance with Tennessee nursing regulations, clinic policies, safety standards, and HIPAA requirements Qualifications Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Tennessee and in good standing Experience in substance abuse treatment, detox, behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health preferred Candidates with a genuine passion for addiction recovery and mental health are strongly encouraged to apply Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional in high-pressure situations Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic environment Ability to work 12-hour shifts Strong teamwork, multitasking, and time-management abilities Experience with EMR systems preferred CPR certification required Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is empathetic, resilient, and passionate about helping individuals struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.
