Summary:
Seeking LPN for In-Home Health Care to serve clients/patients who have experienced a catastrophic event such as traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. We specialize in the care of the quadriplegic. The Licensed Practical Nurse must have a current State of Florida license to practice nursing and will be responsible for the following tasks while working under the direction of the Registered Nurse or licensed Physician.Responsibilities:
1. The clinical record for their patients / client receiving care. 2. Responsible for having the medical plan of treatment signed by the physician within 30 days from the initiation of services and reviewed by the physician in consultation with the licensed nurse at least every 2 months. 3. Notify appropriate persons (Registry, Caregiver, Physician) of unusual systems and changes in patient's condition. 4. Maintaining the medical plan of treatment with clinical notes, any additional orders or changes in orders, and a copy of the clinical notes at the office of the nurse registry. 5. Plan of treatment in patient's record immediately after communicating with physician's office about any changes in the physician's orders. 6. Comply with Nurse Registry's Policies and Procedures. 7. Document incidents / accidents on Registry's prescribed Form.Requirements:
Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing LPN Licensure in the State of Florida A minimum of one (1) year of current experience in an accredited hospital or accredited nursing home within the last two (2) years Must have basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently Must have a valid Florida Driver's License for required travel The employer conducts reference and background checksWork Schedule:
Part-time. 20 hours per week.Salary:
